APW - Hamilton, Grade 994, 21J, 16S, heavy 14K gold OF original Hamilton case with initials to rear, gold cuvette with signature ring, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, fishscale pattern nickel damascene, s#1153769. Gross weight of assembled watch 64.0 dwt (99.6 g). Total production of the lever-set version of the Grade 994 was 800 made.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, patch of fine scratches to balance cock inside regulator spring, mild oxide to regulator assembly, few small specks of oxide to winding wheels; near flawless dial with some areas of edge rub under dial; fine hands, minute with some spots of finish loss; case pendant is a gold-filled replacement and shows evident solder fill at its junction to the gold case, case otherwise shows light wear, some abrasion to band adjacent replaced pendant, some metal loss and marring to opening lip of bezel, adjacent scratch to bezel, mild shallow dent toward lower left of rear, small dent to band near 5, protruding ding to cuvette, few nicks to lower rear, good engraving detail, some small spots of wear through to brass to replacement gold-filled pendant; tight bow, crown shows medium wear and has had notches filed for added grip; clean plastic crystal.
